About thirty years ago, a group of men in the American town of Falmouth, Pennsylvania, were talking about horse racing. One of the men, John Devaney, liked horse racing but he wasn’t very lucky. In fact , he often lost Money. One of his friends suggested that he might have more luck with goats(keçi). As a joke, another member of the group organised a goat-racing event and it became a tradition.
Now ‘ Goat Race Day’ takes place every year in Falmouth, and the tournament attracts competitors from lots of different towns in the area.
