One day Hodja Nasreddin was going to the
bazaar. The children were playing in the
street. When they saw Hodja, they asked:
− Where are you going, Hodja?
− To the bazaar. said the Hodja.
− Please, buy whistles for us said the
children.
The Hodja said: OK. and went on his way to
the bazaar. Only one child gave him money for
the whistle. When he returned, the Hodja had
one whistle and gave it to the boy who gave
him money. The children cried:
− Why didn't you buy whistles for us?
The Hodja said: First you give money, then
you blow the whistle.Why did he buy only one whistle?
