\nD.H. LAWRENCE
\nD.H.Lawrence is a famous writer. His father was a worker. They lived at 8A Victoria Street in Eastwood. The Lawrence had five children: two daughters and three sons. The youngest son, David Herbert Lawrence, was born on 11th September 1885.
\nD.H.Lawrence started school at the age of 7.He had five unhappy years at this first school. In 1898 he started Nottingham High School, but he was not a very good student.
\nIn 1901, he left school and got his first job. He worked in an office. That year he was very ill and nearly died. He stayed in hospital for a long time. There he met Jessie Chambers, a farmer\u2019s daughter. He wrote about her in many of his books.
\nHe started the University of Nottingham in 1906.He wanted to become a teacher .In 1908, he finished university and left Nottinghamshire. He worked as a teacher in a school in South London. He stopped teaching in 1911 because he became ill again. That year his first book, \u2019\u2019the White Peacock\u2019\u2019, came out.
\nIn 1912 he retuned to Eastwood .The same year he met Frieda Richthofen. He visited Germany with her. They got married in 1914.He never went back to Eastwood .He died in 1930.His most famous books are \u2018\u2019Sons and Lovers\u2019\u2019 (1913) and \u2018\u2019Women in love \u2018\u2019 (1920)<\/p>\n
