Eser Tanp\u0131nar&#8217;\u0131n 1953 y\u0131l\u0131nda yazmaya ba\u015flad\u0131\u011f\u0131 ve 1962 y\u0131l\u0131nda vefat\u0131na kadar tuttu\u011fu notlardan olu\u015fmaktad\u0131r. Hayat\u0131 boyunca sa\u011fl\u0131\u011f\u0131ndan \u015fik\u00e2yet\u00e7i olan Tanp\u0131nar, 23 Ocak 1962 g\u00fcn\u00fc ge\u00e7irdi\u011fi kalp krizi ile Haseki Hastanesi&#8217;ne kald\u0131r\u0131ld\u0131. Ertesi sabah, ikinci bir krizle hayata veda etti. Namaz\u0131 S\u00fcleymaniye Camii&#8217;nde k\u0131l\u0131nan Ahmet Hamdi Tanp\u0131nar&#8217;\u0131n cenazesi Rumeli Hisar\u0131 Kabristan\u0131&#8217;nda, hocas\u0131 ve dostu Yahya Kemal&#8217;in yan\u0131 ba\u015f\u0131na defnedildi.
