Daha sonra Recaizade Mahmut Ekrem ve Abd\u00fclhak Hamit Tarhan\u2019dan etkilenerek Bat\u0131 tarz\u0131 \u015fiire y\u00f6neldi. Servet-i F\u00fcnun dergisinde \u015fiirleri yay\u0131mland\u0131. Tevfik Fikret ve Halit Ziya U\u015fakl\u0131gil\u2019le birlikte Servet-i F\u00fcnun edebiyat\u0131n\u0131n \u00fc\u00e7 \u00f6nemli isminden biri oldu. Gelenek\u00e7i \u015fairlerin en \u00e7ok sald\u0131rd\u0131\u011f\u0131 yenilik\u00e7i \u015fairdi. Di\u011fer Servet-i F\u00fcnuncular\u0131n tersine bireysel \u015fiiri tercih etti. Edebiyat-\u0131 Cedide\u2019nin en a\u015f\u0131r\u0131 \u00f6rneklerini verdi. \u015eiire &#8220;nesir-musikisi&#8221; dedi. \u015eiirlerinde kulland\u0131\u011f\u0131 &#8220;S\u00e2\u00e2t-i semenf\u00e2m&#8221;, &#8220;\u00e7eng-i m\u00fczehhep&#8221;, &#8220;nay-i z\u00fcm\u00fcrr\u00fct&#8221; gibi deyimler, imgeler d\u00f6neminin sanat d\u00fcnyas\u0131nda \u00f6nemli tart\u0131\u015fmalar yaratt\u0131. Heceleri m\u00fczik d\u00fczeyinde uyumlu kullanmay\u0131 savundu. Bu tarzda yazd\u0131\u011f\u0131 en iyi iki \u00f6rnek: &#8220;Yakazat-\u0131 Leyliye&#8221; ve &#8220;Elhan-\u0131 \u015eita&#8221; \u015fiirleridir.<\/p>\n<p>12 \u015eubat 1934\u2019te beyin kanamas\u0131 nedeniyle \u0130stanbul\u2019da ya\u015fam\u0131n\u0131 yitirmi\u015ftir.
